Kick Glass at the Ocean Springs Environmental Alliance Meeting

Kick Glass Hattiesburg brings its glass crusher to the Ocean Springs Environmental Alliance meeting at the Mary C. O'Keefe Cultural Arts Center on Government Street. Bring your empty glass — beer, wine and liquor bottles, soda and kombucha bottles, food, pickle, sauce and jam jars, mason and canning jars, candles with the wax removed, glass vases — and they crush it on site from 4 p.m.; bring a container if you want to take some of the crushed glass sand home. Wine and cheese is served at 6 p.m., followed at 6:30 p.m. by a talk on how glass recycling works and what crushed glass is used for. Rinse out anything that held food; caps and corks can come off ahead of time but labels are fine. Please leave lightbulbs, windows, mirrors, Pyrex and ceramics at home. More information: 228-327-0183.
