DESCRIPTION:Kick Glass Hattiesburg brings its glass crusher to the Ocean Springs Environmental Alliance meeting at the Mary C. O'Keefe Cultural Arts Center on Government Street. Bring your empty glass — beer\, wine and liquor bottles\, soda and kombucha bottles\, food\, pickle\, sauce and jam jars\, mason and canning jars\, candles with the wax removed\, glass vases — and they crush it on site from 4 p.m.\; bring a container if you want to take some of the crushed glass sand home. Wine and cheese is served at 6 p.m.\, followed at 6:30 p.m. by a talk on how glass recycling works and what crushed glass is used for. Rinse out anything that held food\; caps and corks can come off ahead of time but labels are fine. Please leave lightbulbs\, windows\, mirrors\, Pyrex and ceramics at home.
